 Hi ladies, I have completely forgotten how to import a picture but I did take one!  But here is my recipe for pea salad. 1/2 package frozen petite peas cooked, drained, and cooled 2 hard boiled eggs cooled, peeled, and cut up 1 stalk celery chopped 1 T. sweet pickle relish 1 to 2 oz. cheese diced up 1/4 c.  mayonaisse Mix all together and chill. Notes:  Use whatever kind of cheese your family likes.  We "sophisticated - not" Midwesterners are big believers in plain old Velveeta.  My cheese savy daughters shudder at that but that is what goes over good here. I am guessing at the amount of pickle relish and mayo.  You want enough mayo to make it moist but don't drown it.  The pickle relish is also a guess.  Just put in enough to give it a little bit of tang.

Air fryer lime pie

 Hi ladies, I am an idiot.  I never can remember how to do all this so you are getting a recipe totally off the subject.  Sorry.  I signed up for Misfits.  In the first box I got limes.  I have never used limes in anything in my life but thought I might try something if I had them.  Hence the air fryer lime pie.  You use the little 6 inch pan that comes with the accessory kit.  The tiny pie is perfect for the 2 of us. Crust: Put 6  graham crackers in your food processor.  Add 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup melted butter.  Process into crumbs and make the crust in your little pan.  Set it ito the fridge. Filling: !/4 cup lime juice (3 little limes) 2 egg yolks 7 oz condensed milk 1 t. lime zest  Meringue 2 egg whites pinch of cream of tartor 3 T sugar 1/2 t. vanilla Whisk together the filling ingredients and pour into the crust.  Preheat the air fryer at 350 degrees,  Put the pie in at 350 degrees for 6 miniutes or until it no longer is jiggly in the middle. Shell Beans

 Hi ladies, I am not going to even attempt posting a picture right now.  Shell beans are a limited season vegetable here.  I have to watch the garden carefully to catch the beans when the seed is fully formed but not dried out yet.  Then I pick the ones who have lots of pink in them and the pod feels like there are beans in it.  Allen and I think they are a delicacy but my farmers won't even touch them.   If you are curious as to how they look google tongue of fire beans or cranberry beans.  Actually almost any bean grown for  dry beans will work.  Just pick them before they dry out.  Lima beans are a good comparison.  We generally eat those before the seed dries out. Shell beans are delicious boiled in a little water, partially drained if necessary, and then heated again with cream or milk on them,  We eat them on mashed potatoes.  If I have a great abundance of them I also put them in vegetable soup. Cauliflower Salad

1 head cauliflower, chopped 1 c. celery, chopped 1 10 oz, pkg peas 1/4 c. sunflower hearts 1/2 c. raisins 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled (opt.) 1 c. mayonnaise 1/2 c. sugar 2 T. vinegar Combine cauliflower, celery, peas, sunflower hearts, raisins, and bacon.  Mix mayo, sugar, and vinegar and pour over cauliflower mixture. refrigerate until ready to serve. For those of you who make broccoli salad yes, this is pretty much the same.  I love broccoli salad but it doesn't like me so I substituted cauliflower and threw in some other ingredients too.  And if you are a fan of ranch dressing and you are in a hurry, you can substitute that for the mayo mixture and it is still good.  

Crustless Pumpkin Pie

 3/4 c. sugar 1 t. cinnamon 1/2 t. salt 1/2 t. ginger 1/4 t. cloves 2 eggs 1 15 oz. can pumpkin puree 1 12 fluid oz. can evaporated milk Butter a glass pie pan.  Preheat oven  as directed below.   Mix the sugar, eggs, salt,spices, and pumpkin together.  Mix in evaporate milk.  I usually use my egg beater. Bake until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.  9 inch glass pie pan:325 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes 10 inch glass pie pan:325 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes   The story on this recipe:  My husband is diabetic and loves pie.  I can make this one without feeling so guilty. I didn't look up the carbs on it but I know that it is allowed on a diabetic diet.  Maybe  not in the quantities he would like but at least he can eat with everyone else and not worry. I made this pie to serve with roast chicken and all the trimmings.  Then I called my farmer son in law and our daughter to come eat with us.  They had been to the sale barn and came back hungry.  A win for us all.  We

Zucchini recipe

 This recipe is one from my ex sister in law.  My mama always said if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all.  She could make good zucchini bread and I have 3 nieces.  Nuff said. 2 c. grated unpeeled zucchini 1 c. oil 2 c. sugar 3 beaten eggs 1 t. vanilla 3 c. flour 1 t. baking soda 1 t. salt 1/2 t. baking powder  1 t. cinnamon 1 c. nuts Mix sugar,eggs, oil, and vanilla.  Mix together with the dry ingredients that have been mixed together.  Put into 2 greased and floured bread pans and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. If you have one of the little pans like I used, half the recipe fills those eight spots.   I baked that pan for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. And if you were smart enough to grate and freeze zucchini last summer you have it made.  I had to dig through 3 freezers til I found my one remaining package and it was marked 2018.  I didn't freeze any grated zucchini last summer.  Mine is all in chunks for soup now.
 Kayte, I have been reading recipes and profiles.  These ladies are all miles ahead of me in cooking.  I cook like their great grandmas did!
